The JFK & RFK Assassinations
"President Kennedy's assassination was the work of magicians. It was a stage trick, complete with accessories and false mirrors, and when the curtain fell the actors, and even the scenery, disappeared." - Farewell America, said to be written by French services
National Archives: No new JFK docs 6/14/2012 Salon: "The Archives’ decision
comes as two former CIA officers have gone public with the unsubstantiated
conspiracy theory that Cuban leader Fidel Castro had advance knowledge of JFK’s
assassination in Dallas on Nov. 22, 1963. In a piece published in the Daily
Beast this week, retired CIA officer Glenn Carle claimed that “the Cuban
dictator knew of Lee Harvey Oswald’s intention to kill President Kennedy.” Carle
also defended a deceased CIA colleague, David Phillips, from allegations of JFK
conspiracy theorists that he connived in JFK’s death. The still-secret CIA
records could clarify the issue. The records include more than 600 pages of
material on the career of Phillips, the chief of the Agency’s anti-Castro
operations in 1963. Phillips oversaw the surveillance of accused assassin Lee
Harvey Oswald in Mexico City six weeks before Kennedy was killed. Antonio
Veciana, an anti-Castro Cuban who worked for the CIA in the 1960s, told
congressional investigators in 1976 that he saw an Agency officer whom he knew
as “Maurice Bishop” with Oswald two months before JFK was killed. At the time,
the CIA unequivocally denied that Phillips had ever used that name. In the Daily
Beast article, Carle, a colleague of Phillips, admitted what the Agency has long
denied: that Phillips had used the name "Maurice Bishop."
THE KENNEDY ASSASSINATION: SOMEONE KNEW IN ADVANCE - A coup d’état 5/24/2012 Granma: "Four days later, on November 27, Fidel analyzed the Oswald as lone gunman theory and his alleged pro-Castro sympathies, which nobody was questioning at that point. He quoted Hubert Hammerer, Olympic shooting champion, who stated that it was highly unlikely that anyone firing with a repeater carbine fitted with a telescopic sight could hit a target three times in the space of five seconds, when firing at a moving target at a distance of 180 meters, traveling at 15mph." On the basis of his own experiences in the Sierra Maestra, with weapons fitted with a telescopic sight like the one Oswald was said to have used, Fidel added, "Once you fire at the target it is lost – due to the effect of the shot – and you have to find it again quickly (…) with this kind of weapon it is really very difficult to fire three consecutive shots. But, above all, difficult to hit the target like that. Almost impossible."
The Kennedy assassination: somebody knew in advance 5/17/2012 Granma: "On February 1, 1962, the president had replaced Cabell as deputy director of the CIA. On April 19, 1961, Cabell had tried to force Kennedy to authorize the use of fighter planes from an aircraft carrier stationed close to Cuba, an action that he stated could change the course of the Bay of Pigs in a matter of minutes. Pentagon chiefs, headed by Lemnitzer and Walker and those of the CIA, especially Dulles and Cabell virtually rebelled and continued trying to provoke direct military intervention in Cuba. For these reasons, the decision of General Cabell’s brother who, as mayor of Dallas, diverted the presidential convoy as it was traveling along Mayor Street toward the center of Dealey Plaza heading for Stemmons Highway, as planned, was highly suspicious. "On Mayor Street, continuing along the open boulevard, shots could not have reached him… at the last minute the President’s route was changed to make it pass where the warehouse is."
WHO KILLED DOROTHY KILGALLEN? 4/15/2012 Midwest Today: published in 2007 - "Marc Sinclaire said that in October 1965, during the New York newspaper strike, Dorothy hired him to meet her in New Orleans. Marc explained, "She didn't tell me why we were going. She just asked me could I go with her, and I said 'yes.' She told me how I was to travel, where I was to go, what I was to do. And I'd never been to New Orleans before, so I didn't know anything about it. We didn't even travel on the same plane together. I went directly to my hotel, we talked [on the phone], and then I went over to her hotel and had dinner. And then I went back to mine. And the next morning, I was supposed to go do her hair and make-up, and she called me at my hotel and she said, 'I want you to go to the airport, I've left a ticket for you, and I want you to go immediately back to New York, and never tell anyone you came to New Orleans with me.' And I said 'okay' and I left. I did not do her hair." Somebody or something had apparently spooked Kilgallen."
The Kennedy assassination: Did Castro know in advance? 3/17/2012 Miami Herald: "But now his assignment had abruptly been changed, at least for the day. “The leadership wants you to stop your CIA work, all your CIA work,” his boss said. Instead, the officer was told he had a new target: Texas, “any little detail small detail from Texas.” And about three hours later, shortly after mid-day on Nov. 22, 1963, the shocked intelligence officer had something to report that was much more than a small detail: the assassination in Dallas of President John F. Kennedy."

The Doomsday Project and Deep Events: JFK, Watergate, Iran-Contra, and 9/11 11/21/2011 Peter Dale Scott: "My point is a simple and important one: to show that the Doomsday Project of the 1980s, and the earlier emergency planning that developed into it, have played a role in the background of all the deep events I shall discuss. More significantly, it has been a factor behind all three of the disturbing events that now threaten American democracy. The first of these three is what has been called the conversion of our economy into a plutonomy – with the increasing separation of America into two classes, into the haves and the have-nots, the one percent and the 99 percent. The second is America’s increasing militarization, and above all its inclination, which has become more and more routine and predictable, to wage or provoke wars in remote regions of the globe. It is clear that the operations of this American war machine have served the one percent.2 The third – my subject today -- is the important and increasingly deleterious impact on American history of structural deep events: mysterious events, like the JFK assassination, the Watergate break-in, or 9/11, which violate the American social structure, have a major impact on American society, repeatedly involve law-breaking or violence, and in many cases proceed from an unknown dark force."

The NY Times' Ostrich Act on the JFK Assassination Getting Old 7/27/2011 How What Why: "Take the paper’s coverage of former Washington Post reporter and author Jefferson Morley’s ongoing research on Oswald, which again points toward Oswald not being a “leftist sympathizer” or Communist agent at all. The Times article, generally sympathetic toward Morley, actually began with the following disclaimer, which essentially contradicted the article’s thrust: “Is the Central Intelligence Agency covering up some dark secret about the assassination of John F. Kennedy? Probably not.”

Convicted RFK assassin says girl manipulated him 4/28/2011 AP: "I thought that I was at the range more than I was actually shooting at any person, let alone Bobby Kennedy," Sirhan was quoted as saying during interviews with Daniel Brown, a Harvard University professor and expert in trauma memory and hypnosis. He interviewed Sirhan for 60 hours with and without hypnosis, according to the legal brief… Brown was hired by Sirhan's lawyer William F. Pepper."

Retired FBI Agent Says Oswald Didn't Kill Kennedy 8/22/2010 FOX: "One of Adams first assignments was investigating an extreme right radical, with connections to the States Rights Party and KKK named Joseph Adams Milteer. "He was reportedly one of most violent men in the country," said Adams… And an FBI record states that after the assassination, "a jubilant" Milteer bragged to the informant, "You thought I was kidding when I said he would be killed from a window with a high powered rifle." Adams questions why Milteer appears in a photograph near President Kennedy's limousine before the shooting, but was never mentioned in the Warren Commission Report."
Are Presidents Afraid of the CIA? 12/30/2009 Counterpunch: "Did Allen Dulles and other “cloak-and-dagger” CIA operatives have a hand in killing President Kennedy and then covering it up? The most up-to-date—and, in my view, the best—dissection of the assassination appeared last year in James Douglass’ book, JFK and the Unspeakable. After updating and arraying the abundant evidence, and conducting still more interviews, Douglass concludes the answer is Yes."
Lost JFK Tapes: The Assassination Sun. Nov 29 11/28/2009 Monsters & Critics: "National Geographic Channel will air The Lost JFK Tapes: The Assassination on Sunday, Nov. 29. For over 45 years, news footage and radio reports of Kennedy's assassination and the days following have quietly languished in Dallas - first kept under wraps by the news stations who owned them, then in the vault of a museum dedicated to preserving the memory of the day Kennedy was cut down."
JFK and the Unspeakable: Why He Died and Why It Matters 11/25/2009 Global Research: "We are then faced with the contemporary relevance, and since we know that every president since JFK has refused to confront the growth of the national security state and its call for violence, one can logically assume a message was sent and heeded. In this regard, it is not incidental that former twenty-seven year CIA analyst Raymond McGovern, in a recent interview, warned of the “two CIAs,” one the analytic arm providing straight scoop to presidents, the other the covert action arm which operates according to its own rules. “Let me leave you with this thought,” he told his interviewer, “and that is that I think Panetta (current CIA Director), and to a degree Obama, are afraid – I never thought I’d hear myself saying this – I think they are afraid of the CIA.” He then recommended Douglass’ book, “It’s very well-researched and his conclusion is very alarming.” "
Film uses N. Texas media coverage to tell story of Kennedy assassination 11/19/2009 WFAA: "The National Geographic Channel film pulled footage from hundreds of hours of material from the archives of the Sixth Floor Museum. "And a lot of that material really has not been seen," said Gary Mack, the Sixth Floor Museum's curator. "Some of it hasn't been seen since it actually happened." [Mack is seen by other researchers as having gotten himself coopted by the coverup.]
Jefferson Morley’s struggle to find the truth about George Joannides and the CIA’s fight to hide it 10/21/2009 Machetera: "The day that his brother was assassinated, the Attorney General of the United States, Robert F. Kennedy, spoke by telephone with one of the leaders of the terrorist campaign against Cuba, Enrique “Harry” Ruiz-Williams. Kennedy said to him directly: “One of your men did it.” Bobby Kennedy didn’t ask him. He told him. It came from his gut, because he knew those people. That’s how the journalist/researcher Jefferson Morley tells it in an interview he granted Cubadebate.“The assassination of President John F. Kennedy on November 22, 1963 and the dirty war against Cuba organized by the Miami Cubans are intimately linked: they’re battles in the same war, “ said Morley."

CIA was responsible for the assassination of U.S. President John F. Kennedy 6/1/2009 Big News: "According to this documentary the CIA was responsible for the assassination of U.S. President John F. Kennedy in November of 1962 at Daley Plaza in Dallas Texas. John Barbour produced this landmark film, The Garrison Tapes. This documentary tells the story of District Attorney Jim Garrison, who investigated the 1963 assassination of President John F. Kennedy his independent investigation according to the movie looked closely into evidence available to him and came forward with an interpretation that went beyond the Warren Commission's authorized report."
Oswald, the CIA, and Mexico City 5/13/2009 Front Line: "Arguably, the most startling information so far brought to light by the release of these intelligence records is the CIA cover-up relating to Oswald's visit to Mexico City. Oswald was in Mexico City in late September and early October of 1963. During his one-week stay, he tried to obtain visas from the Cuban consulate and Soviet embassy. But intelligence documents released in 1999 establish that, after Oswald failed to get the visas, CIA intercepts showed that someone impersonated Oswald in phone calls made to the Soviet embassy and the Cuban consulate and linked Oswald to a known KGB assassin - Valery Kostikov - whom the CIA and FBI had been following for over a year.1 The news of this impersonation and the link to Kostikov, learned within hours of President Kennedy's assassination, electrified top government and intelligence officials and dominated their discussion in the immediate weeks following the assassination. It also became during the next 40 years one of the CIA's most closely guarded secrets on the Oswald case."
Specter's JFK Specter By Lisa Pease 4/29/2009 Consortium News: "While Specter is perhaps most famous for coming up with the "single bullet theory" which purports that one bullet entered and exited two people (President Kennedy and Governor Connally) seven times, only to emerge nearly intact, his legislative efforts of late also give cause for concern."
Did Bush Sr. Kill Kennedy and Frame Nixon? Review of Russ Baker's new book 12/26/2008 Global Research: "New research and newly highlighted information assembled by Baker presents at least the strong possibility that Bush was involved in assassinating President Kennedy, and that Bush was involved in staging the Watergate break-in (and the break-in at Dan Ellsberg's psychiatrist's) with the purpose of having these break-ins exposed and the blame placed on President Nixon. In this account, those in on the get-Nixon plot included John Dean and Bob Woodward. While this retelling of history would make a certain Robert Redford movie look really, really silly, it would -- on the other hand -- make Woodward's performance during Watergate fit more coherently with everything he's known to have done before and since. It would also give new meaning to Dean's recent book title "Conservatives Without a Conscience." I would love to see either of these men's response to Baker's book."
Watergate and the Future: News for 2009 12/22/2008 Raw Story: "In sum, I found that the very people who created Nixon and used him to advance their own political interests ended up destroying him. Nixon's famous paranoia, in other words, had a basis in reality."
JFK and Vietnam - Kennedy's assassination 45 years ago today made it an American war. 11/22/2008 LA Times: "Kennedy was not receptive. Long before becoming president, he had spoken out in Congress against the disastrous French experience in Vietnam, citing it as a reason the U.S. should never fight a ground war there. In the summer of 1961, he said he had accepted the conclusion of Gen. Douglas MacArthur, who counseled against a land war in Asia, insisting that even a million American infantry soldiers would not be sufficient to prevail. He would offer military aid and training to Saigon, but he would not authorize the dispatch of ground forces. Over the three years of his presidency, Kennedy sometimes invoked hawkish rhetoric about Vietnam. He also increased the military advisors and training personnel there to roughly 16,000. But McNamara and Bundy both came to believe that Kennedy would not have Americanized the war -- even if the price was communism in South Vietnam."
The Assassinations of the 1960s as "Deep Events" 10/17/2008 History Matters: [by Peter Dale Scott, brilliant as always] - "In writing this paper I have been helped immeasurably by the Mary Ferrell Foundation website, http://www.maryferrell.org. This comparative approach is now made much easier by the addition of MLK and RFK files to the existing JFK collection. As there is far more research to be done, I am hoping that some younger resercher will take advantage of this new opportunity."

Scientists Cast Doubt on Kennedy Bullet Analysis - Multiple Shooters Possible, Study Says 5/17/2008 Wapo: "In a collision of 21st-century science and decades-old conspiracy theories, a research team that includes a former top FBI scientist is challenging the bullet analysis used by the government to conclude that Lee Harvey Oswald alone shot the two bullets that struck and killed President John F. Kennedy in 1963. The "evidence used to rule out a second assassin is fundamentally flawed," concludes a new article in the Annals of Applied Statistics written by former FBI lab metallurgist William A. Tobin and Texas A&M University researchers Cliff Spiegelman and William D. James. The researchers' re-analysis involved new statistical calculations and a modern chemical analysis of bullets from the same batch Oswald is purported to have used. They reached no conclusion about whether more than one gunman was involved, but urged that authorities conduct a new and complete forensic re-analysis of the five bullet fragments left from the assassination in Dallas."

New evidence challenges official picture of Kennedy shooting 2/22/2008 Guardian: "Little about the official explanation of the events at the Ambassador Hotel on June 5 1968 makes sense. Now a new forensic analysis of the only audio recording of the fatal shots has given new weight to a controversial theory that there were in fact two shooters, and that the man convicted of Kennedy's killing — Sirhan Sirhan - did not fire the fatal shots."
Dallas County DA's office finds cache of JFK memorabilia 2/17/2008 Dallas Morning News: "Mr. Watkins, Ms. Moore and several investigators from the DA's office found the boxes of materials about a year ago because they had heard that the gun used to kill Oswald was somewhere in the courthouse. They didn't find the gun, which Mr. Mack said is privately owned, but instead found the records and other items. For the past year, they've been trying to determine what they discovered and began scanning some of the documents. The process is not complete. The boxes probably sat in the safe since being moved when the courthouse opened in 1989. Mr. Watkins said he plans to donate the files to an entity that will authenticate and preserve them, as well as make them available to the public. It's interesting, and it's not ours," Mr. Watkins said. "It's the public's." No one has yet thoroughly read all of the documents, so it's not known whether they contain information previously unknown to the public or the Warren Commission." [TV coverage shows numerous boxes]
Former President Ford Admits CIA Compromised the Warren Commission's Probe of JFK Assassination 1/9/2008 Crime Magazine: "In his final public words, former President Gerald R. Ford said the CIA destroyed or kept from investigators critical secrets connected to the 1963 assassination of President John F. Kennedy. The stunning admission by Ford—a member of the Warren Commission that investigated the JFK assassination—is contained in the foreword to a new edition of the commission's report, A Presidential Legacy and The Warren Commission. Ford died in late 2006 at the age of 93. In the new book, Ford said the commission's probe put "certain classified and potentially damaging operations in danger of being exposed." The CIA's reaction, he added, "was to hide or destroy some information, which can easily be misinterpreted as collusion in JFK's assassination."
CIA Loses Case at DC Circuit 12/8/2007 JFK Lancer: "The CIA had previously won summary judgment on a case where requester Jefferson Morley sought records on George Joannides, a deceased CIA agent. The Circuit Court however found that the CIA's search wasn't adequate as it hadn't search usually FOIA exempt operational files because in this case there was an exception that made these files non-exempt from the FOIA in their entirety. The Court remanded the case back to the lower court for the CIA to search its operational files. Further, the CIA was ordered to search JFK act files that it had transferred to NARA, but had admitted to keeping copies of as well as to sent to NARA but that aren't to be released to the public until 2017. Finally, the Court found the CIA's description of its search inadequate and remanded the case for a further explanation of the search."
The George Joannides Coverup by Jefferson Morley 12/8/2007 JFK Lancer: Published 5/19/05 - "People interested in the JFK story will be interested to know that the CIA is due to file papers in court tomorrorow, May 20, to block release of certain JFK assassination-related documents. The records in question concern a deceased CIA officer named George Joannides. At the time of Kennedy's death, Joannides was the Chief of Psychological Warfare branch of the Agency's JM/WAVE station in Miami. Among his primary responsibilities were guiding, monitoring and financing the Revolutionary Cuban Student Directorate or DRE, one of the largest and most effective anti-Castro groups in the United States. CIA records show, and the group's former leaders confirm, that Joannides provided them with up $18-25,000 per month while insisting they submit to CIA discipline. Joannides, in his job evaluation of 31 July 1963, was credited with having established control over the group."

Appeals Court Rules in Favor of Morley on Joannides Records 12/7/2007 AARC: "The U.S. Court of Appeals reversed Judge Richard Leon's decision to deny release of records related to George Joannides' service in 1963, and ordered the CIA to search its operational files for Joannides material and explain the absence of monthly reports on the DRE during his tenure."
The Man Who Didn't Talk 11/23/2007 Playboy: "Bob Woodward, my former colleague at the Washington Post, once warned me in a collegial way that the story of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy was a journalistic "black hole," and so it is. The JFK story is literally a dark core of cultural energy that can swallow your time and sanity. At the same time, the black hole of Kennedy's assassination exercises a gravitational pull on the American imagination that cannot be ignored."
44 Years After JFK's Death, New Assassination Plot Revealed 11/22/2007 ABC: published 11/22/07 - "Bolden said the president didn't come to Chicago because he was basically waved off by the Secret Service, and it wasn't because he had a cold. Information about Vallee, his similarity in appearance and background to Oswald and details of the Cuban hit squad in Chicago were never given to federal agents in Dallas."

JFK, 9/11 and War 8/18/2007 911Truth.org: by Peter Dale Scott - "In American history there are two types of event: ordinary events which the information systems of the country can understand and establish. There are also deep events, or meta-events, which the mainstream information systems of the country cannot digest. I mean by a “deep event” an event in which it is clear from the outset that there are aspects which will not be dealt with in the mainstream media, and will be studied only by those so-called “conspiracy theorists” who specialize in deep history. The events I shall discuss today exhibit continuities with each other and with other deep events, notably the Iran-Contra affair of the mid 1980s and the Oklahoma City bombing of 1995. But the three I shall discuss today – the JFK assassination, the initial Watergate break-ins, and 9/11 – are outstanding in this respect: that while they were attributed to insignificant and very marginal people, they had momentous impact, far more than most daily events by more important people, in redirecting American history. 1 If history is what is recorded, then deep history is the sum of events which tend to be officially obscured or even suppressed in traditional books and media. Important recent deep events include the political assassinations of the 1960s, Watergate, Iran-Contra, and now 9/11. All these deep events have involved what I call the deep state, that part of the state which is not publicly accountable, and pursues its goals by means which will not be approved by a public examination. The CIA (with its on-going relationships to drug-traffickers) is an obvious aspect of the deep state, but not the only one, perhaps not even the dirtiest."

Don’t Call It a Conspiracy — the Kennedy Brothers 7/12/2007 RU Sirius: "An explosive new book by David Talbot, Brothers: The Hidden History of the Kennedy Years, examines the hostility that existed between the Kennedy brothers and their own military, intelligence and enforcement agencies during the JFK administration in the early 1960s. The book also reveals that Robert Kennedy, who was Attorney General during his brother's presidency, believed that JFK was killed by an insider conspiracy of powerful players who didn't like some of the president's actions." [interview with author follows]
Scientists Cast Doubt on Kennedy Bullet Analysis 5/17/2007 WaPo: "Tobin, Spiegelman and James said they bought the same brand and lot of bullets used by Oswald and analyzed their lead using the new standards. The bullets from that batch are still on the market as collectors' items. They found that the scientific and statistical assumptions Guinn used — and the government accepted at the time — to conclude that the fragments came from just two bullets fired from Oswald's gun were wrong. "This finding means that the bullet fragments from the assassination that match could have come from three or more separate bullets," the researchers said. "If the assassination fragments are derived from three or more separate bullets, then a second assassin is likely," the researchers said. If the five fragments came from three or more bullets, that would mean a second gunman's bullet would have had to strike the president, the researchers explained."
Farewell America by James Hepburn 5/11/2007 jfk-online.com: "A combination of these powerful interests called "The Committee" coordinated all aspects of the murder, from setting the time and place of the shooting to the recruitment of the gunmen and the cover-up of the conspiracy afterward. The bottom line was that enemies of JFK collaborated with the CIA to erase the perceived threat to their interests by John and Robert Kennedy. Heady stuff for 1968. So incendiary, in fact, that importation of the book through Canada was squelched, allegedly at the instigation of the FBI. Farewell America wasn't just another book about the assassination conspiracy; it was full of restricted information about U.S. intelligence agencies, the White House, global business, and military and political affairs that had to have come from a knowledgeable source, in this case, French intelligence. It also represented the surreptitious intrusion by those in French government circles into American politics, namely, the 1968 presidential elections. Farewell America is well documented with footnotes and appendices, and supported by an exceptional Introduction by noted investigative author and best selling author William Turner, an ex-FBI Special Agent. Herve Lamarre, the publisher of the original edition of Farewell America, admitted that the author of record, James Hepburn, was fictitious and that the true sources included Andre Ducret of the Surete; Interpol; and, among others in French intelligence, Philippe Vasjoly, the chief French petroleum agent in the United States. William Turner is an authority on the Kennedy assassinations, the FBI and the CIA, and is the author of nine books (translated into six languages), including his recent best selling memoirs, Rearview Mirror: Looking Back at the FBI, the CIA and Other Tails (Penmarin, 2001). From Chapter 13: "President Kennedy's assassination was the work of magicians. It was a stage trick, complete with accessories and false mirrors, and when the curtain fell the actors, and even the scenery, disappeared."

Cuba's #2 official today was coup leader for JFK in Nov 63, US gov reveals! 12/1/2006 Ultimate Sacrifice: "As reported by Liz Smith in the 9-22-06 NY Post, the US government has revealed that the coup leader for JFK and RFK in November 1963 was Commander Juan Almeida, then head of the Cuban Army. He is currently listed by the CIA as the #2 official in Cuba today (just below Raul Castro)."
After 40 Years, the First National Security Whistleblower Still Seeks Justice 11/30/2006 Common Dreams: published 2/17/06 - "After an outstanding career in law enforcement, Abraham Bolden was appointed by John F. Kennedy to be the first African American presidential Secret Service agent, where he served with distinction. But you haven't heard about Abraham Bolden during Black History month, because after helping to prevent JFK's assassination in the weeks before Dallas, Bolden was arrested on the very day he went to Washington to tell the Warren Commission about those attempts. Caught in a maze of National Security concerns that only became clear after four million pages of JFK files were released in the 1990s, Bolden was sentenced to six years in prison, becoming America's first National Security Whistleblower. The files released after Congress passed the JFK Act unanimously in 1992 show the massive amount of information that had been withheld from at least five Congressional investigations. Even worse, the Final Report of the JFK Board created by Congress shows that crucial files about attempts against JFK--the cases Bolden worked on--were destroyed by the Secret Service in 1995. And, a report by the government oversight group OMB Watch says that "well over one million CIA records" related to JFK's era remain unreleased, perhaps until the mandatory release date of 2017... Unknown to Bolden until recently, the crux of all this secrecy about the attempts to assassinate JFK in Chicago, Tampa, and Dallas were John and Robert Kennedys' "Plan for a Coup in Cuba" to overthrow Fidel Castro on December 1, 1963. The most secret operation of the Kennedy years, the CIA side of the operation was code-named AMWORLD, a term withheld from five Congressional investigations (and the Warren Commission) and declassified only in the 1990s. It appeared in print for the first time just three months ago. Using declassified files from the National Archives, we found that in the days, weeks, and months before Dallas, Robert Kennedy had a secret government committee looking at how the US could deal with the "assassination of American officials" if Castro found out about the Kennedys' coup plan, and tried to retaliate."
Re-Open RFK assassination 11/22/2006 Global Research: "O’Sullivan found video images of Campbell with another figure who has now been identified as George Joannides, a pivotal figure in the CIA and the re-investigation of the assassination of JFK. Joannides had been the Chief of Psychological Warfare Operations at JM-Wave. He had retired from his CIA post, but in 1978 he returned to active duty, as it were, as the liaison between the House Select Committee on Assassinations (HSCA) during its re-investigation of the assassinations of JFK and Martin Luther King. Puzzling, perplexing and problematic, Joannides failed to inform his colleagues at the HSCA that he had ever worked at JM-Wave. This is a troubling enigma for it suggests that he intended to maintain his covert identity – a fact that would compromise his involvement in the HSCA and jeopardize the entire congressional investigation. A former researcher with the HSCA, Ed Lopez, identified Joannides as the person in the Ambassador Hotel video with what he described on camera as 99% accuracy. More. Lopez recalled Joannides obstructive practice of denying the HSCA access to crucial documents in the re-investigation of the assassination of JFK."
CIA role claim in Kennedy killing 11/20/2006 BBC
Did the CIA kill Bobby Kennedy? 11/20/2006 Guardian: "Morales was a legendary figure in CIA covert operations. According to close associate Tom Clines, if you saw Morales walking down the street in a Latin American capital, you knew a coup was about to happen. When the subject of the Kennedys came up in a late-night session with friends in 1973, Morales launched into a tirade that finished: "I was in Dallas when we got the son of a bitch and I was in Los Angeles when we got the little bastard." From this line grew my odyssey into the spook world of the 60s and the secrets behind the death of Bobby Kennedy. Working from a Cuban photograph of Morales from 1959, I viewed news coverage of the assassination to see if I could spot the man the Cubans called El Gordo - The Fat One. Fifteen minutes in, there he was, standing at the back of the ballroom, in the moments between the end of Kennedy's speech and the shooting. Thirty minutes later, there he was again, casually floating around the darkened ballroom while an associate with a pencil moustache took notes. The source of early research on Morales was Bradley Ayers, a retired US army captain who had been seconded to JM-Wave, the CIA's Miami base in 1963, to work closely with chief of operations Morales on training Cuban exiles to run sabotage raids on Castro. I tracked Ayers down to a small town in Wisconsin and emailed him stills of Morales and another guy I found suspicious - a man who is pictured entering the ballroom from the direction of the pantry moments after the shooting, clutching a small container to his body, and being waved towards an exit by a Latin associate. Ayers' response was instant. He was 95% sure that the first figure was Morales and equally sure that the other man was Gordon Campbell, who worked alongside Morales at JM-Wave in 1963 and was Ayers' case officer shortly before the JFK assassination."

JFK's Biggest Secret Revealed -- But Will Congress Keep History from Repeating Itself? 10/19/2006 Common Dreams: "The JFK-Almeida coup failed because it was infiltrated by three Mafia bosses targeted for prosecution by Attorney General Robert Kennedy (who played the leading role in managing the coup plan for his brother). The Mafia chiefs -- banned by the Kennedys from the coup plan, and from reopening their casinos in Cuba -- infiltrated the CIA's portion of the coup plan, and used parts of it to kill JFK in Dallas. This forced key US officials -- RFK, LBJ, and J. Edgar Hoover -- into a cover-up to protect Almeida and prevent a possible nuclear confrontation with the Soviets, a cover-up which continued for decades." [LBJ used this to pressure Warren into the "lone gunman" theory.]
LITEMPO: The CIA's Eyes on Tlatelolco 10/18/2006 National Security Archives: "The declassified U.S. documents reveal CIA recruitment of agents within the upper echelons of the Mexican government between 1956 and 1969. The informants used in this secret program included President Gustavo Díaz Ordaz and future President Luis Echeverría. The documents detail the relationships cultivated between senior CIA officers, such as chief of station Winston Scott, and Mexican government officials through a secret spy network code-named "LITEMPO." Operating out of the U.S. Embassy in Mexico City, Scott used the LITEMPO project to provide "an unofficial channel for the exchange of selected sensitive political information which each government wanted the other to receive but not through public protocol exchanges." [Scott was Chief of Station in 1963 at the time of the JFK hit.]
Robert Gaylon Ross Sr. interview with Madeleine Duncan Brown 8/31/2006 Google Video: "The night before the Kennedy assassination, Lyndon Baines Johnson met with Dallas tycoons, FBI moguls and organized crime kingpins - emerging from the conference to tell his mistress Madeleine Duncan Brown that "those SOB's" would never embarrass him again. It's a jaw-dropping deposition and it's the biggest JFK smoking gun there is - despite the fact that it has received little media attention. Before her death on June 22 2002, prolific author and lecturer Robert Gaylon Ross had the opportunity to conduct an 80 minute sit-down interview with Madeleine Duncan Brown and from that lengthy discussion the truth about exactly who was behind the assassination of JFK was exposed."
A bang not a whimper: Bush’s Endgame Strategy 5/12/2006 Global Research: "When the little that is now known about the background of Josh Bolten and Joel Kaplan is examined, it turns out that they are slightly more than mere proteges of Karl Rove, as they were initially described. Josh Bolten’s father is Seymour Bolten, who was a top ranking deputy to George Herbert Walker Bush during his brief, eleven-month tenure as Director (DCI) of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) in 1976. The two men worked closely together. Documents released through the FOIA revealed Bolten Sr’s role in assisting Bush Sr. to probe a troubling problem for a previous DCI, Richard Helms. When embarrassing documents were published that proved Helms had deliberately misinformed the Warren Commission, Bolten Sr. advised Bush Sr. that Helms had lied to the Warren Commission when he told them that the CIA had never “contemplated” contacting Lee Harvey Oswald. Later documents proved that Helms was lying, and this scandal threatened to open one of the most malignant enigmas ever doomed to stalk the shadows of American history: the assassination of JFK, Lee Harvey Oswald and the CIA. This was a problem that Bush Sr. did not want to see return from the dead to haunt the CIA on his watch as DCI. Bush Sr. instructed Bolten Sr. to analyze Helms’s exposure to further legal problems and criminal charges that might arise from his false testimony to the Warren Commission. In doing so, Bolten Sr. concluded that the former DCI’s predicament might cause him some public discomfort but no additional legal problems, i.e. no criminal charges. Helms had other legal problems involving lying under oath to a Senate Committee investigating the CIA. For these crimes, Helms would eventually receive the censure of Congress."
Rethinking Chomsky 4/18/2006 NY Transfer News Collective: "Rethinking Camelot (Boston: South End Press, 1993) is Noam Chomsky's worst book. I don't think it merits a detailed review, but we should be clear about the stand that "America's leading intellectual dissident," as he is often called, has taken on the assassination. It is not significantly different from that of the Warren Commission or the majority of Establishment journalists and government apologists, and diametrically opposed to the view "widely held in the grassroots movements and among left intellectuals" (p. 37) and in fact to the view of the majority of the population. For Chomsky, the only theories of the assassination "of any general interest are those that assume a massive cover-up, and a high-level conspiracy that required that operation." These he rejects out of hand because "There is not a phrase in the voluminous internal record hinting at any thought of such a notion," and because the cover-up "would have to involve not only much of the government and the media, but a good part of the historical, scientific, and medical professions. An achievement so immense would be utterly without precedent or even remote analogue.""

ANOTHER INSULT FROM BUSH AND THE PENTAGON NEO-CONS 3/11/2006 From The Wilderness: "But there is something else about John F. Kennedy in particular that makes the Bushes jumpy. The name "George Bush" appears much too frequently in documents, some newly released, relating to the assassination of President Kennedy. Since there is no statute of limitations on murder or accessory to murder, I can understand why Bush pere and fils may want to erase November 22, 1963 from the history books. The document trail linking George H. W. Bush to those involved in the assassination of President Kennedy is nothing less than chilling."
The Assassination of Robert Kennedy - USA, 1992 2/19/2006 RICENPEAS FILMS: "The Assassination of Robert Kennedy, a gripping documentary by the acclaimed producer Chris Plumley, exposes how the CIA planted two operatives within the Los Angeles Police Department who manipulated the investigation of Kennedy’s assassination. Robert Kennedy’s death seemed an open and shut case, yet in spite of the testimonies of seventy-seven witnesses, it remains shrouded in mystery. Many witnesses at the time complained of pressure by the LAPD to change their testimony. For the first time, Plumley exposes how evidence was changed: how an FBI officer saw bullets being removed from the scene of the assassination and how LAPD officers who didn’t tow the line found themselves suspended on ridiculous charges or taken off the case. This hard-hitting documentary is produced in the gripping style of The Day The Dream Died, the documentary which catapulted Chris Plumley to international prominence and formed the backbone of Oliver Stone’s acclaimed film JFK."

Excerpt: 'Ultimate Sacrifice' 2/3/2006 Alternet: "Our investigation has produced clear evidence that the crime bosses arranged the assassination so that any thorough investigation would expose the Kennedys' C-Day coup plan. They were confident that any such exposure could push America to the brink of war with Cuba and the Soviet Union, meaning that they could assassinate JFK with relative impunity."
The Cuban connection is still in Miami and Dallas 1/20/2006 Granma: "Ruby also had links with David Yaras, the mafia executor who admitted to having met him in 1964, and with David Ferrie, of Cuban origin, Marcello’s pilot who, in his turn used to see Lee Harvey Oswald in New Orleans. According to the Committee findings, Ferrie, who was a CIA agent, was also in contact with Oswald through the Aerial Civil Patrol Falcon Squadron and a famous New Orleans office on 544 Camp Street, where members of groups acting against the Cuban Revolution, like Guy Bannister, also operated. Oswald had his office for the deceptively titled Fair Play with Cuba organization in the same building at the same time."

Castro Did It - Again 1/10/2006 JFK Accountability: by Peter Dale Scott, Rex Bradford - "Although there is legitimate concern that the latest revival of this theory at this time may be a prelude to a revival of anti-Castro operations, it is also possible that it is a diversion. A diversion from the increasing revelations about the games that the CIA was playing with Oswald files just before the assassination. And a diversion from the growing consensus that previously-suppressed facts about Kennedy's policies on Cuba and the Cold War, which placed him at odds with powerful hard-liners in his own country, may indeed lie at the heart of the mystery about his murder."

Book links Mafia and plot against Castro to JFK killing 12/2/2005 Independent: "But critics have pointed to problems with the book's thesis: Robert McNamara, then running the Pentagon, has said he was not informed of any new plan to invade Cuba before Kennedy's death. It is also implausible that the Mafia, itching to get rid of Castro and restore Cuba's once lucrative gambling industry, would have blocked a plot that would have done just that."
The Enduring JFK Mystery 11/22/2005 Consortium News: "Dr. Thomas presented a stark contrast to Garwin. Thomas began by asserting that the number on the tape Garwin tested was not the number of the tape the House assassination committee tested. He also pointed out that there is a difference in recording speed and playback speed, and that Garwin’s team had applied one which made the shot sounds no longer line up with the House committee analysis. Thomas provided slides that made clear the points he was making. One could feel the change in the room. People now felt they could follow along as Thomas lined up each sound with the motorcycle’s probable position, and then showed us pictures from the Zapruder film and others that confirmed that the motorcycle cop, Officer H.B. McLain, was indeed in those positions at those times."
Assassination in Puerto Rico - The FBI Murders a Legend 9/26/2005 Counterpunch: "Filiberto, she says, knew that the FBI was there to kill him and did not talk at any time about surrendering himself. After all, that is what happened in Cerro Maravilla, where the local police -acting allegedly in cohort with the FBI- executed two unarmed independentistas, well after they had surrendered to the authorities. The Attorney General for Puerto Rico has already corroborated Elma's story. The FBI fired more than a hundred rounds of bullets. Filiberto was able to respond only ten times. There was no attempt to arrest him; they came to kill him with premeditation… From 1990 to 2005, Filiberto was running loose in Puerto Rico, outsmarting the FBI on an Island that is smaller than the State of Connecticut and where everybody, through means of gossip, can easily find out what the other islanders are doing, even in their bed. So, the FBI knew for sure that Filiberto was being protected by the community at large. The FBI had a motive for their assassination. Filiberto Ojeda will be buried the afternoon of September 27, 2005, as a hero in his hometown of Naguabo, Puerto Rico. The Puerto Rican Bar Association has announced that it will conduct a full investigation -together with the Government of Puerto Rico- to determine if the FBI murdered Ojeda."

You know, I don't know about this doctrine of assassination, but if he thinks we're trying to assassinate him, I think that we really ought to go ahead and do it. It's a whole lot cheaper than starting a war. And I don't think any oil shipments will stop. But this man is a terrific danger and the United ... This is in our sphere of influence, so we can't let this happen. We have the Monroe Doctrine, we have other doctrines that we have announced. And without question, this is a dangerous enemy to our south, controlling a huge pool of oil, that could hurt us very badly. We have the ability to take him out, and I think the time has come that we exercise that ability. We don't need another $200 billion war to get rid of one, you know, strong-arm dictator. It's a whole lot easier to have some of the covert operatives do the job and then get it over with."
Dan Moldea Accidentally Uncovers the Conspiracy to Assassinate RFK 6/1/2005 JFK Lancer: "Dan Moldea, author of the book, "The Killing of Robert F. Kennedy", participated in a recent television special on the RFK assassination. Using, laser sights, stand-ins, and a re-creation of the Ambassador Hotel pantry in which the assassination occurred, Moldea purported to account for the six assassination victim's wounds using no more bullets than Sirhan's gun could hold. Moldea's television explanation, the same offered in his book, has several fatal shortcomings. One particularly critical conclusion by Moldea ensures that, under his scenario, no less than 9 shots were necessary to account for the victims' wounds. Problematically for Moldea, Sirhan fired an 8-shot revolver, which he unquestionably did not reload."

About AMERICAN ASSASSINATION 10/25/2004 Assassination Science: "Niman was clearly right about the political motives of the White House for taking him out; the question was whether it was reasonable to suppose it might go that far. In this context, a report from Michael Ruppert, fromthewilderness.com, was especially disturbing, when he explained that he had been contacted by a former CIA operative familiar with the conduct of assassinations, who told him it had been a hit and "having played ball (and still playing, in some respects) with this current crop of reinvigorated old white men, these clowns are nobody to screw around with. The mother of all coverups 9/16/2004 Salon: "But there is one sanctuary where the Warren Report is still stubbornly upheld and where its manifold critics can expect their own rough treatment: in the towers of the media elite… One of the great ironies of history is that while the media elite was busily trying to shore up public confidence in the Warren Report, the political elites were privately confiding among themselves that the report was a travesty, a fairy tale for mass consumption. Presidents, White House aides, intelligence officials, senators, congressmen, even foreign leaders -- they all muttered darkly among themselves that Kennedy was killed by a conspiracy, a plot that a number of them suspected had roots in the U.S. government itself. (In truth, some high media dignitaries have also quietly shared their doubts about the official version. In 1993, CBS anchorman Dan Rather, who did much along with his network to enforce the party line on Dallas, confessed to Robert Tannenbaum, the former deputy chief counsel of the House Select Committee on Assassinations, "We really blew it on the Kennedy assassination.") Who killed Kennedy? 1/17/2004 Portsmouth Herald, NH: "Keating: We recently marked the 40th anniversary of the assassination of JFK. Polls show that a majority of Americans do not believe that Lee Harvey Oswald was the lone gunman. My question to you, as someone who is running for the office that he held at the time of his assassination, is what do you believe? Dean: I believe what I read and what I’ve read is the Warren Commission, or some of it. And their conclusion is that he was the lone assassin. I’m not a big conspiracy theorist. Now I don’t deny that conspiracies exist, but this was never one that I’ve been highly attracted by. So I go with what I consider to be the mainstream opinion on this one, which is that it’s likely it was a single assassin."

Celebrated authors demand that the CIA come clean on JFK assassination 12/17/2003 Salon: "At issue in the suit, filed Tuesday in Washington, are records on the unexplained role of a Miami-based undercover CIA agent named George Joannides in the months prior to Kennedy's murder on Nov. 22, 1963. The authors supporting the suit include anti-conspiracist Gerald Posner, author of the 1993 book "Case Closed," and Norman Mailer and Don DeLillo, two leading novelists who have explored the mysteries surrounding accused JFK assassin Lee Harvey Oswald. Also backing the lawsuit are legal experts G. Robert Blakey, the former chief counsel of the House Select Committee on Assassinations, which in the late 1970s investigated Kennedy's death, and John Tunheim, a federal judge who chaired the Assassination Records Review Board in the mid-1990s."

Revealed: how Kennedy's assassination thwarted hopes of Cuba reconciliation 11/26/2003 Guardian, UK: "A few days before his assassination, President Kennedy was planning a meeting with Cuban officials to negotiate the normalisation of relations with Fidel Castro, according to a newly declassified tape and White House documents. The rapprochement was cut off in Dallas 40 years ago this week by Lee Harvey Oswald, who appears to have believed he was assassinating the president in the interests of the Cuban revolution. But the new evidence suggests that Castro saw Kennedy's killing as a setback. He tried to restart a dialogue with the next administration, but Lyndon Johnson was at first too concerned about appearing soft on communism and later too distracted by Vietnam to respond."

Kennedy, and the eve of the broadcast of a new documentary film on Kennedy and Castro, the National Security Archive today posted an audio tape of the President and his national security advisor, McGeorge Bundy, discussing the possibility of a secret meeting in Havana with Castro. The tape, dated only seventeen days before Kennedy was shot in Dallas, records a briefing from Bundy on Castro's invitation to a U.S. official at the United Nations, William Attwood, to come to Havana for secret talks on improving relations with Washington. The tape captures President Kennedy's approval if official U.S. involvement could be plausibly denied."
Were the Feds Capable of Killing Kennedy? 11/24/2003 The Future of Freedom Foundation: "Unfortunately, we may never know all the answers to the Kennedy assassination because of two undeniable conspiracies entered into by U.S. officials immediately after it occurred: the conspiracy not to aggressively investigate whether there were other people who shot at President Kennedy and the conspiracy to keep the government’s investigative files into the assassination secret from the American people until the year 2029, when missing and destroyed evidence would be nothing more than a historical curiosity. If those two conspiracies had never been entered into, the central questions of who killed Kennedy and who covered the murder up would probably have been settled long ago."

Searching for the truth 11/22/2003 Amarillo Globe News: "One of the things Sturdivan focused on was debunking the extra gunman theory, which was popularized in part by the Zapruder film that showed JFK's head jerking back, as if he had been shot from in front and behind. "We were able to explain for the first time the reason for Kennedy's backward motion in the car," Sturdivan said. "A colleague and I resurrected some archival films that showed that the shot to the head caused an intense neuromuscular reaction, and that is the reason Kennedy jerked backward after the shot." Sturdivan's findings are extremely complex, but the layman's explanation is that the bullet pierced the top of the spinal column, stretched the nerves and caused them to send out messages essentially forcing every muscle in the body to seize up. Because a human's back muscles are stronger than his abdominal muscles, Kennedy's body instinctively arched his back, slamming it backward." - a pity that this boy's life work is based on the fraudulent Zapruder film, where the backward motion is one of a number of artifacts of that fraud, including two spices along the sequence of the film and a continuous splice separating the entire intersprocket area from the rest of the film.

Coverage of Kennedy's assassination remembered, revisited 11/19/2003 AP: "Schieffer, who joined CBS in 1969, used to resent TV cameramen for "always moving in front of us" in the crowded confines of the downtown Dallas police department. "But the story was so overpowering that I didn't grasp the significance of television until later," he said. "From that weekend on, television became the place where most people turned for news. Up until that time people wanted to see it written down in black-and-white. That's what validated things." " And led to the one of history greatest video frauds, the Zapruder film.
FBI agent blamed in Kennedy's assassination has no regrets 11/19/2003 AP: Other sources have said that Hosty ran Oswald as an informant. "In hindsight, Hosty said, it's tragically ironic that of the 35 to 40 cases he was working on in 1963, Oswald's was never once considered a priority. He said his top priority at the time was investigating extreme right-wing groups who hated Kennedy because they believed him soft on communism." JFK conspiracy theories just don't stand up 11/18/2003 The Scotsman: "IN A factual film I have been working on for BBC2, to be screened on Sunday night - The Kennedy Assassination: Beyond Conspiracy - it is possible to draw for the first time on extraordinary computerised reconstructions of what happened that November day in Dallas in 1963. The basis for the reconstructions is the home movie shot by a local Dallas dressmaker, Abraham Zapruder. It shows the precise moment of the assassination, and it allows all the subsequent conspiracy theories to be considered and - in my view - utterly rejected. " This forensic animation will be successfully used by those who have proven that the Zapruder is a fraud to better make their case.
Cash from conspiracy 11/17/2003 Independent: "Apparently Oswald's ex-wife has now been persuaded that her former husband was not involved whatsoever. In a 1996 letter she wrote: "At the time of the assassination of this great President whom I loved, I was misled by the 'evidence' presented to me by government authorities and I assisted in the conviction of Lee Harvey Oswald... I am now convinced that he was an FBI informant and believe that he did not kill President Kennedy." "
World News: New Kennedy Assassination Evidence Revealed 11/17/2003 New Kerala, India: "Grossman's observations indicate that only two bullets struck Kennedy. The first entered his upper back above the shoulder blade and exited from the front of his neck. The second struck the right side of the back of his skull, near the midline, and fragmented, causing a blast-out of the right side of the skull above the ear. The locations of the wounds were most compatible with the gun having been fired from the sixth floor of the Texas School Book Depository, most likely by a single gunman." This is at odds with testimony from other doctors in Dallas and at the autopsy in Bethesda, which was misrepresented by HSCA, the House Select Committee on Assassinations. This article is part of an all out effort to convince the American public and the world that Oswald was the lone assassin, despite polls that show more than 70% of Americans do not believe it.
Legacy of Suspicion - Decades After, Few Accept the Official Explanation for JFK Assassination 11/16/2003 ABC
The Oswald scapegoat - Who killed JFK? Local ex-FBI agent says he knows 11/16/2003 Chicago Sun Herald: "He was assigned to investigate Lee Harvey Oswald before the Communist sympathizer pulled the trigger. He found no legal reason to put Oswald away." Actually, it appears that Oswald was an informant for FBI Agent Hosty.
Full Disclosure by Gerald Posner 11/16/2003 Newsweek: "The CIA has never released files about Oswald's visit to the Soviet embassy in Mexico City weeks before the assassination of JFK." Includes interesting discussion of the exile group, Directorio Revolucionario Estudiantil, which helped trigger the Cuba/Soviet theory used so effectively by Johnson to throttle the Warren Commission. The Warren Commission Revisited - Forty Years of Lies 11/12/2003 Counterpunch: "The Cuban extremists in Florida were furious over the Bay of Pigs and felt betrayed by Kennedy's terms for settling the missile crisis. You couldn't find a better explanation for the CIA's unhelpful behavior over the years since. Imagine the impact on the CIA, already badly damaged by the Bay of Pigs and Kennedy's great anger over it, of news that some of its subsidized anti-Castro thugs had killed the President?"
John F. Kennedy: A dual-purpose assassination - An interview with Division Gen. (r) Fabián Escalante Font‘They were in Dallas’ (Second and final part) 11/11/2003 Radio Progresso: "Tony Cuesta and I talked several times. Talking with him was difficult, because he always spoke as if he were telling a secret. Several times I told him: “Tony, it's me you're talking to. I'm the only person who can turn on the microphones here and I haven't turned them on, so talk a bit louder because I can't hear what you're saying.” It was like a big mystery, as if we both were conspiring. One time, in the late 1970s, he asks me to go see him. Probably it was a way to say thanks, because it was difficult for us to save his life and the process of rehabilitation was very long. We had a long conversation. We started talking about the exiles, about the principal characters, Orlando Bosch, Antonio Veciana, Luis Posada Carriles, Jorge Mas Canosa. But all of a sudden, I don't know how, we started talking about Kennedy's assassination and the man paled and said more or less this: Herminio Díaz and Eladio del Valle were in Dallas on that day, Nov. 22. I ask him why he's telling me this. And he answers that he doesn't know anything else, but that he does want us to know that Herminio Díaz and Eladio del Valle were there."

There were certain individuals who participated in many things, such as the CIA-Mafia assassination plots against Castro. These people wanted desperately to cover up their actions and in so doing helped to cover up what was going on with the assassination.”

Retired FBI Agent Reveals Details Of JFK's Assassination - Former Agent Says Oswald Made Offer To Cuban Officials 10/21/2003 KMBC, Kansas City
Former chief of the day discusses Kennedy assassination 10/21/2003 Olney Daily Mail, IL: "While typing the memo, the agent placed a small bottle next to David. Inside the bottle were around four pieces of lead that David said were too much for one bullet, the "magic bullet" labeled "Commission Exam 399." ...The autopsy room was filled with high-ranking government officials, David said. Some of those officials told doctors not to examine certain areas of Kennedy's body, according to David. Bozwell and Humes, who were not experienced pathologists, conducted the autopsy… Several days after the autopsy, David said his friend and mentor, William Bruce Pitzer, who was the head of the audio/visual department at Bethesda, wanted to show him a 16-millimeter film of the autopsy as well as some black and white photographs of the procedure. David said he did not look at the entire film and what he saw was footage prior to the official autopsy, but there was clearly something amiss. Kennedy's throat was sloppily slit 2 inches in length and near the corner of his eye was an entrance wound, a hole no larger than a finger, David said. It appeared that the body had been tampered with to cover up evidence that Kennedy may have been shot from the front. It was December 1965 and Pitzer had told David that he would soon be retiring from Bethesda. David said Pitzer told him he had lucrative offers for work elsewhere. In April 1966, Pitzer was found dead and had supposedly committed suicide. "I never really believed Bill committed suicide," David said. "I still don't today." The film Pitzer possessed is missing, David said. David said that in the Warren Commission report, there is a section that states the commission viewed "a film of the autopsy." In the early 1990s, David said Pitzer's death began being investigated by an author. It was discovered that Pitzer's wife, Joyce Pitzer, never received a copy of her husband's death certificate or of his autopsy. In 1992, David said he learned that a retired lieutenant colonel with the U.S. Army Special Forces named Dan Marvin along with another man were asked by an agent of the Central Intelligence Agency to assassinate Pitzer."

Dallas plans series of events to mark 40th anniversary of JFK's assassination 10/14/2003 Knight Ridder: "Artifacts including a Kennedy Center inaugural program and an unused ticket from the center's first production, Leonard Bernstein's ``Mass,'' went on display at the Sixth Floor Museum, which has become a focal point for information about JFK in Dallas… On Nov. 21, historians, journalists and members of the Kennedy administration will gather for a symposium to discuss the slain president's life and legacy. The event is closed to the public, but a public broadcast is expected on C-SPAN." The Museum is an ardent, well funded proponent of the lone nut coverup, and holds the copyright to the Zapruder film.
Farah hosts 'Triangle of Death' author Brad O'Leary to discuss compelling evidence in Kennedy assassination 10/14/2003 World Net Daily: ""Triangle of Death," which is subtitled "The Shocking Truth about the Role of South Vietnam and the French Mafia in the Assassination of JFK," presents shocking evidence of a complicated web of complicity implicating not Lee Harvey Oswald in the 1963 killing, but rather a conglomerate of conspirators. The book is based on recently declassified federal documents, material supplied by the KGB, information from the Bonano crime family, documents obtained from a French court and the only interview done with a French witness previously only debriefed by the FBI and CIA."

He did not elaborate why he questioned the report. The tapes also record a conversation between President Nixon and former Treasury Secretary John Connally who was in the car with President Kennedy when he was killed. It contains graphic details of the shooting. "I was lying... down on (wife) Nellie's lap like this to shield her head on top of me and I had my eyes open and I heard that bullet hit his head ... I knew he was dead," Mr Connally said."

Study Backs Theory of 'Grassy Knoll' - New Report Says Second Gunman Fired at Kennedy 3/26/2001 Washington Post: "A new, peer-reviewed article in Science and Justice, a quarterly publication of Britain's Forensic Science Society, says the NAS panel's study was seriously flawed. It says the panel failed to take into account the words of a Dallas patrolman that show the gunshot-like noises occurred "at the exact instant that John F. Kennedy was assassinated." In fact, the author of the article, D.B. Thomas, a government scientist and JFK assassination researcher, said it was more than 96 percent certain that there was a shot from the grassy knoll to the right of the president's limousine, in addition to the three shots from a book depository window above and behind the president's limousine."
