The Rumba y Folklore Programs in Matanzas, Cuba
are pleased to invite you
to participate in its fourth course of the
AFRO-CUBAN DANCE AND PERCUSSION
led by Reynaldo Gonzalez

Program includes:

• Four hours of intensive dance and percussion classes daily in the afro-cuban styles that include Rumba, Yoruba, Arara, Congo, Iyessa and Comparsa
• Tour of the city of Matanzas – the cradle of Cuban rumba
• One day visit to a beautiful Varadero Beach
• Visit to religious ceremonies (toques de santeria)
• Participants will have a direct contact with the community’s religious members – Babalawos, Iyalochas and Babalochas
• Lectures by members of Los Munequitos de Matanzas and Afro-Cuba, two of Cuba’s most renowned folkloric ensembles
• Round trip airfare from Montreal, accommodation, breakfast and dinner and transportation from Havana airport to Matanzas

will be needed by April 25, 2003 at the latest.
